Friday night, the dog my Mom and I have had for 12 years died. Nikita lived a good, long life. She was without a doubt the sweetest, most playful pup ever. Even though I've moved (she lived with my Mom) and Chris and I now have our sweet kitty, Lemon, Niki was still my puppy and I loved her. Pets become so ingrained in our lives and it's hard when we lose them. It's like losing a member of the family. It is losing a member of the family. Mom laid her to rest under a dogwood tree where she liked to play and chase the squirrels. I hope she's happy. And I'll always miss her.

That really is sad... sorry. Animals can really work their way into our hearts, that's for sure.
Oh that is so sad, I'm so sorry. What a beautiful little doggie. I've only had my pup for a year but I get upset just thinking that one day I won't have her any more.
Hold on tight to your happy memories :)
:( Even though I haven't seen her in like 7 years, I loved her very much, too. I'm sorry for your loss, Katie.
I'm so sorry Katie. Pets add so much to our lives, again I'm so sorry.
